I used to have this issue that every time I’d get to a recipe and they would have listed under the ingredients “one onion – diced” that I would cringe inside. For whatever reasons anytime I’d try to cut an onion, not only would I get the teary eyes, but my ‘diced onions’ didn’t look so diced… and it was always just a pain to get it cut right! Well who knew there is actually a proper way to cut an onion!? I just figured you cut off the parts you don’t want and then struggle away until you get some decently small chunks of onion.
